England under snow

image

Look at this!!!! Look how deep the snow is!!!! It’s the deepest it’s been yet. I know this is nothing compared to those of you in snowy countries, but it is virtually unheard of in England for this late in the year.

Poor little b can barely move her little legs through it without falling over….

image

Still, at least that bitter easterly wind stopped for a day and we could play.

image

I pulled b around the garden on her sledge at a rate of knots….

image

Dodging tink as we went…

image

And picking little b up when she kept flying out! She bounces well!

image

We gave the swing a miss and tried to build a snowman, but the snow just wouldn’t stick together!

image

My toes felt like they could snap clean off of my feet and so it was hot chocolate time!

image

And a slice of dribbly melon.yum! And then when little b went to sleep, I put together my Easter cards….

image

Little chicks….

image

Easter eggs….

image

Crucifixes…

image

Bunnies….

image

And I finished a little ladybird, babys hat I had been playing with….

image

Unfortunately, the biting wind returned today, and our plan to go on a bear hunt in the woods (like the children’s book, definitely not a real one!) has had to be postponed. So what to do with a mummy and 2 year old who have not left the house and garden since Wednesday?

Aaaaaaaaaaa… A child friendly pub for tea! Now, that was a nice little treat!!!!! Stay snuggly everyone, lots of love xxxxxxx Ps, mum and dad…..lots of love and enjoy your holiday xxxxxxx
